Grace was born and raised in Canada, but her family is of Korean descent. This duality had exposed her to a strong Korean culture which she found hard to balance with and to distinguish as she was growing up. However, she has since realized that it was not a matter of separating the two identities, but finding a way to integrate them together. Grace has taken these ideas into account as she is not only teaches the translation course, but also she created the course in its entirety. Grace completed her studies at The University of British Columbia with a major in Psychology.
