| This program is meant to provide students with the necessary skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking for interpretation and translation ability in a business or workplace setting. A broad range of sentence types will give opportunity to learn business context vocabulary, phrases, and writing styles. | This program includes a variety of articles and texts common in the workplace or business setting. Each of the modules explores four types of business English articles, covering a range of vocabulary, grammar structures, phrases, and idioms. The video lectures are meant to check understanding and guide students through how to decipher the article step by step into a comprehensible whole. In addition, English to Korean translation articles focus on the ability to transfer the meaning of the original text, while maintaining fluidity and flow. |  |

| This program is for students who plan to be or are currently in the health field and want to improve their English skills within medical field. Students have the option to take one, two, or all of the courses in this program. Each course focuses on a specific area of the health industry; Communication with Patients, Common Symptoms and Sicknesses, and Important Medical Terminology. These courses have been designed to facilitate for better communication and understanding with patients and others in the health and medical field. |  |

| Medical English 1: Patient Interactions is the first in a series of three courses in the Medical English program at Glenn College. This course will teach students the different ways of interacting with patients over the phone and in person while using a variety of words and expressions related to patient interaction. |  |

| Medical English 2: Common Symptoms & Illnesses is the second in a series of three courses in the Medical English program at Glenn College. This course will teach students the various types of symptoms a patient may experience and use these symptoms to identify what illness they are suffering from. |  |

| Medical English 3: Essential Medical Vocabulary is the final course in the Medical English program at Glenn College. This course will give students a detailed look at various parts of the body, including the outer and inner body. Students will also study nutrition and diet in regards to maintaining a healthy body. Additionally, this course will touch on common medical conditions and phrases, essential medical equipment, and the different departments of a hospital along with their roles. |  |

| The ESL Pathway program is designed for students who aim to achieve a level of English advanced enough to attend and succeed in Canadian post-secondary institutions. This program combines material from Glenn College’s ESL and IELTS Preparation programs while also including material that is designed to help students become confident in undertaking various academic tasks commonly done at post-secondary institutions such as group work and discussions, research skills, comprehending lectures, and more. Students who successfully complete the ESL Pathway program will be eligible to apply to Glenn College’s partner post-secondary institutions without needing to submit an IELTS score for admission. This is an intensive program and students are expected to commit to several hours of study each week. |  |

| IELTS Preparation is a 10-week specialized course aimed at students with an Intermediate to Upper Intermediate level of English who wish to take the IELTS exam or work intensively on developing their English skills. The course uses official IELTS practice material to help students gain confidence in taking the IELTS exam. Students who are aiming for a Band Score of 6.0 or higher are encouraged to enroll in this highly-structured course which covers a range of relevant topics. Some of the topics covered include Education, Business, Health, The Environment, and Technology, among others. |  |
